Your Taste Doesn't matter
- Being an illustrator means making art for a client, not for yourself.
- put your ego in neutral
- suck it up and do it
- dont let the critics fault the craftsmanship
- be open minded
- understand what the client wants
- get details
- take notes
- ask questions if you don't undertand
- do research on their vision
- Understand the best piece isn't always the one that suits your own taste
- Take in other peoples opinions and ideas, they might improve the work, or notice oversights you did not.
- even if you don't want to, if the company who commissioned the work wants something changed, its their call in the end, not yours, so just go with it! its unprofessional to push back
